| Climbed the NE Couloir on Pt. Powell, strolled over to Pt. Wesley, then traversed along an enjoyable class 3 ridge to Mt. Powell with Bob and Glenn. Descended to Echo Lake and back through some beautiful country to Lake Sabrina. My last day of the '06 Sierra Challenge, as I had to return to China for work for a couple of weeks. Bummer. :-( | |

| Yes Mark, you missed out on a good one. Turns out the traverse from Pt. Wesley to Pt. John was the best scrambling all day, and some of the finest on the 2006 Challenge. Trip Report | |

| Climbed this peak on the 3rd day of the Sierra Challenge. Ascended via the NE Couloir (fun) and descended the SE Face (sucked) after tagging Pt Wesley. Apparently Bob Burd found a fun class 3 traverse to Mount Powell and I'm kicking myself for not following him! | |
