| great little hike on the burrows trail. probably would have taken a longer route if we had known the trail conditions were going to be so good. going to try the approach on the long trail going north next time. | ||

| metasyn11 | Long trail from the south ![]() Date Climbed: Oct 15, 2006 | |
| Climbed this one in a fall sleet storm on a short backpacking trip on the Long Trail. Couldn't see anything from the top, but the rime ice was pretty spectacular. | ||

| first experience on an east coast "mountain". Fun hike...looks like the southern face could hold possibility for some rock routes...perhaps some already exist. | ||

| Tahawus | Camel's Hump ![]() Date Climbed: Jun 10, 2007 | |
| Climbed via the Burrows Trail from Huntington. My favorite mountain in Vermont. Climbed up early enough to see a thick layer of clouds in the valley. Beautiful alpine summit provided magnificent views of the crest of the Green Mountains and of the Lake Champlain Vally and the Adirondacks. | ||

| TLP | Great Fall hike, would have like some more views ![]() Date Climbed: Oct 16, 2007 | |
| I took the Monroe Trail. The day started out cloudy and foggy, but eventually it cleared up... As I was making my way down the mountain. A really good time nonetheless | ||

| Snowshoeing on decently packed Burrows Trail. Not particularly bad but icy near the summit. Saw at least 30 people over the course of the day. Nice winter climb. | ||

| My husband carried up our son. Our daughter hoofed it up on her own. Ate yummy blueberries at the top. We were happy that our 5 year old made it on her own. Clear & a beautiful 360 degree view. | ||

| tioga | My Favorite ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 12, 2007 | |
| This is my favorite mountain in all of Vermont. I have been up it three times in three consecutive summers. The first two times were day trips and had tremendous weather and views. The last time was along the Long Trail and the mountain was still covered in a fog when we were on the top. However, it was still a good feeling to be back and it was quite a different experience. | ||

| splattski | Burrow's Trail ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 19, 2007 | |
| Although it was much drier than on Mansfield yesterday, we still had very limited visibility on the summit. I'll have to go back and try on a clear day. | ||

| MoapaPk | Monroe Trail ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 10, 1992 | |
| We climbed into clouds. Summit was nice and rocky, but saw absolutely no view except "Lake Champlain up close" as the locals say. By the time we were a mile down from the summit, the clouds parted. | ||

| bflah91989 | Dean and Monroe Loop ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 7, 2007 | |
| Climbed up the Dean Trail and went back down the Monroe. When my group got to the summit we could see dark clouds closing in fast. Luckily, we beat the rain to the bottom of the mountain and it did not start raining until we were at the Fork of Dean & Monroe. But boy did it pour. I feel bad for anyone further up the mountain. | ||
