| June 6, 2003: Hiked up the granite staircase on the west slopes, then descended the south slopes. This was a short sidetrip during an early season visit to Cherry Creek Canyon (IMO, the most beautiful place I've seen in the Sierra). Nice views for very little effort. July 22, 2006: Stopped up here again while on my way to Haystack Peak and Schofield Peak, on an ambitious loop overnighter. Stunning views again. | |

Sierra Nevada
