| Climbed Venado Peak from Cabresto Lake via Bull Creek Trail. Continued to Latir Peak and returned via Latir Mesa and Heart Lake Trail. Nice hike on a beautiful sunny day with fantastic views. Seen lots of elk on the slopes of Venado. | |

| We had a great time winter camping down by Heart Lake. As soon as we stepped onto Latir Mesa we were hit by 40+ mph winds that made it very hard to walk a straight line. Stayed for only a moment on the summit. | |

| Nice day to summit. There were a few afternoon showers but we were able to get down just as it was starting to rain. What an awesome view on the summit. | |
