Camped on east side of Lake Charles...incredible area! Attempted to summit fools via the north ridge solo. Had a great time up until about 12,500ish...(a few hundred feet up from the final gendarme) where the grade increased and the obvious correct line of ascent diminished. Turned back approximately 400 feet short of the summit and descended the trough you skirt over when avoiding the last gendarme.

Overall I had a great time, the ridge was fantastic with great rock, but the home stretch seemed a bit much for my liking.

Denied ! Got sketchy scrambling up the steep north faces through patches of snow so I bailed. The glissade down was tons of fun ! And Lake Charles is fantastic.

Climbed the North Ridge, fun 3rd class scramble with some interesting route finding to avoid the last tower. The last tower has a near vertical drop off the back, but a clever ledge/ramp system avoids it.

Traversed over to Eagle B and 13100A before descending back to Mystic Island Lake and out the trail. The traverse to Eagle B had one tricky 3rd class downclimb, fortunately the main summit is on the "mellow" side of most of the gendarmes.

Climbed this one with my father during a backpack to the lake. I was hoping to get up the peak but wasn't sure if there was a good route until we got there. Really nice views from the top. A very enjoyable outing.
