Date Climbed: Aug 16, 2008

Came up the usual third class route. Fun scramble and a nice half-day hike.

Clouds building, could see rain off in the distance. Thunder clapped as I scrambled off the summit. Hightailed it back to the trailhead ..

Date Climbed: Jul 11, 2008

Climbed with Tresidder and Tenaya. The class 3 route seemed a littler underrated, but not really hard. Maybe I just didn't see the easiest line to the top. A worthwhile addition to bagging Tresidder.

Nice and easy end of the day, last peak on our Tenaya/Tressider/CF traverse. Returned to the car via Tenaya. I hate mosquitos...

This was my first Sierra peak, climbed while hiking the JMT with my friend Mark. Got me hooked! Good views

Matthew HollimanRoute Climbed: Northwest side Date Climbed: Sep 23, 2005  Sucess!

Traversed there from Tresidder Peak, before heading over to Echo Peaks. Seemed a bit spicier than class 3. Worthwhile little scramble and part of a thoroughly fun day.

Small and cool summit with nice views. An interesting scramble with good exposure, but I must have missed the "class 3" route. It seemed more like class 4 in a couple of places.

yooperjbRoute Climbed: I wouldn't call it 3rd class, but the easy route. Date Climbed: June 26th, 2005  Sucess!

Still tons of snow coming from the Cathedral/ John Muir trail head. No trail for most of the way and hiking through sun cups for a majority of it. Beautiful cloudy sunset and a great view of Long Meadow full of snow going into Sunrise High Sierra Camp. Supposed to work there again this summer, but due to all the snow we hiked in, the camps didn't open this year.

I used to climb this "peak" regularly while working two Summers (1971-1972) at Sunrise High Sierra Camp...

Climbed the "backside" of Tenaya Peak in the morning and then jogged over to the finger. Camped at Lake Mildred-always pleasant there.

Sam MillsRoute Climbed: Northern approach Date Climbed: September 19, 2003  Sucess!

This was peak 3 of a seven peak day with Bob Burd. Bob choose the class 5 vertical route from the North up the final blocks. I decided to take the more girlish class 3 approach from the West.

Bob BurdRoute Climbed: From Tresidder Peak Date Climbed: Sept 19, 2003  Sucess!

This was one of the few peaks in the area I had yet to climb, so to keep it interesting, Sam and I set out to climb Tenaya Peak -> Tresidder Peak -> Columbia Finger -> Echo Peaks (#3 - #2 - #1) -> Cathedral Peak. All in all one of the most enjoyable days of the summer. Trip Report
