Climbed with partner while on the way to Vermillion Peak. Climbed up snow and was comfortable with hiking poles although it was steep. As others have mentioned it looks impressive from below but is just a bump on the ridge.
From Lake Hope Trailhead Date Climbed: Sep 3, 2007
Made a loop over "V9", "V8", Beattie, Fuller & Vermilion. The Lake Hope area is beautiful and not to be missed. Altough the talus/scree slopes on this side of Vermilion & Fuller look horrendous, they are quite manageable.
Climbed as part of the SP Summer Gathering, I had already been up Golden Horn earlier in the year and headed over to Vermilion and Fuller instead. Overcast morning had us worried, but it never rained on us.
Route Climbed: North ridge Date Climbed: oct 8, '05
Climbed the ridge to the right of the vertical face. Pretty tough since it was all hard, windblown snow and i was in sneakers. A rock dagger came in handy.
Route Climbed: Crampon Route Date Climbed: June 27th 2005
Fun climb, nice views down if you scramble down the ridge towards Fuller Lake from the top so you can see over the edge better. Still almost all snow above 12,000 feet.
Route Climbed: Ice Lake Basin Scree Date Climbed: July 29th, 2004
An easy walk up from the saddle with Vermillion. Spent a little time dodging snow on the way up, but nothing technical, and nothing scary. Great views.
