| Started at Jones creek and climbed up to Mount Church by almost reaching the summit of Donaldson where the cairn marked route goes. After climbing Church first I came back to the top of Donaldson before heading down. 10 hour day, noon - 10pm trip. Did not find a summit register on either Church or Donaldson. I looked for a bit inside the cairns on the top of each peak but nothing was there. | |

| Traversed the ridge from Church to Donaldson across a few cornices after climbing the north face of Church from Lake 9682'. Finished off with a slushy glissade back down to the lake. Here’s a trip-report and some photos. | |

| Climbed the drainage to the north of Jones creek. Had a great climb to Donaldson. The Summit register box was gone, so I donated my nalgene bottle to try and protect all of our notes. 4 out of 9 12,000ft peaks. | |

| Linked this to a snow climb on Mount Church. Descent from Donaldson on steep snow back to Lake 9682 was sketchy at times. | |

| We had a grand time getting up off-route: only a little 5th class. Fortunately, found the cairns for a much more relaxed descent. | |

| Started out in the wrong drainage. Then gained access to the ridge between Church and Leatherman, trying to connect the two. Ended up not being able to proceed any further and headed back down. Summated out on Donaldson and then attempted to reach Britenbach on the ridgeline . . . denied again. Exited through the upper part of Jones Creek (which is real nasty and not recommended) All and all it was a 14 hour day in the July heat. | |
