| What a day. Left SLC about 1:30 A.M. About 28 miles s.w. of Delta on HWY 6-50, I hit a deer at about 50 mph, killing the animal and causing roughly $3500 damage to the front end of my truck. Fortunately it held up enough to get me up to the TH and home later. Ascended the S.E ridge with the brush, then took the talus chute just south of the N.W. ridge down, traversing off a cliff band to the road below. In spite of the accident this was a great day on a remote desert peak! Never seen as many Bristlecone Pines in one place like this one. Noticed Eric and Dean's entries in the register, and found a strange hat someone must have geocached in there as well. |
