| Reachead the ridge by a snow couloir on the right side of the south face. Climbed all the ridge reaching both Astazus summits, descending via Cuello del Astazu with magnificient views of Cirque the Gavarnie. | |

| Because of the fog, we ended at the Col d'Astazou. Not a chance to see the summit. A long day, a good hike, but have to get back there one time or another. | |

| A lot of snow in the climb from Pineta in june but amazing views of north face of Cilindro, Perdido, Marboré, Taillón, La Brecha, La Munia,... A great day. It's very advisable climb the Petit Astazú as well (even it's a little more hard), another 3000m with better view of Cirque de Gavarnie. Rafa Bartolomé | |
