| Two weeks earlier my son, Curtis, and I had been on a 95-mile trek on Philmont, which included summiting nearby Baldy Mountain. This time we were back with several members of our Venturing Crew and we decided to hike to the top of Touch-Me-Not. Spectacular view, though fires in Arizona were reducing visibility (especially as compared to two weeks earlier). Hike took about a half day from the parking lot on the nearby access road (at about 10,500 feet). Lot easier than the hike to 12,441 foot Baldy, which started well below 7,000 feet! |
