| I took the short route and made the up and down in just over an hour. Nice hike, but yes, it was hot, and humid, too. Surprisingly so. I camped at Leo Carrillo State Beach the previous night, like we used to as a family in the 1970s. My first time actually driving in these hills. Overall an enjoyable dayhike. I was concerned to see neat piles of broken car window glass at the trailhead, but fortunately no one was out today, breaking and entering. | |

| Hiked this with Travis and his daughter - two liters of water was not enough. After summiting, we hit the Hueco Wall and climbed some 5.10a-5.10c's. Great views from both the peak and the climbs. | |

| Hiked to the summit today with my daughter. It was HOT!! Ran out of water, did a loop and took the Mishe Mokwa trail back. Saw a rattlesnake too. Climbed this one a bunch of times in various combinations. My favorite used to be when they had a steep trail from the ranger station(now closed). | ||
