| I Walked from Achada do Teixeira to Pico Ruivo de Santana, Pico do Arieiro, Pico do Juncal, Pico de Neve to Pico Cedro. And from there all the way back again to Achada do Teixeira, adding in Pico Encumeado Alto. Took me about 7 hours. Nice walk, great views! This is a combination of route 29 and route 30 from the Rother Wanderführer Madeira, with a small extention after Pico do Arieiro. | |

| I took the longer route with just one tunnel. The other one (Pico Areeiro West) was marked as dangerous, due to an earthquake recently, as I was told. It was a return trip of 6 hours with very mixed conditions. Starting in a surprisingly cold, freezing weather, then some nice and hot sunshine, following with a generally cloudy day, but still with OK visibility on top, and a hailstorm in the end. On Madeira you truly can experience all seasons in one day :) | |

| My first long hike. The weather was not good eneough but me and my boyfriend wanted to do it, so we just simply followed the path. At the end I was exhausted because of the steep ascent back to the start. | |

| Done this easy track with my brother. the hard part was to go through a long tunnel with no light, except at the end ;) | ||

| I did this trecking with two friends in one of my trainings for climbing Mont Blanc. It´s a very nice peak and the highest of Madeira. I climbed so many times that i can't remember since i was born in Madeira. | |

| Beautiful longer hike, perfect weather. The most spectacular part is from Pico Arieiro to mountain hut Casa do Abrigo near the summit of Pico Ruivo. | |

| Beautiful hike along well kept trails. Don't forget a torchlight since you'll have to climb through two tunnels. The peak itself wasn't as nice as the trail towards and from it. | |
