| As it had been raining/snowing the previous day, we had missed out on Piz Roseg, and decided against an attempt on Piz Bernina (many people made it successfully eventually). So we did an early morning moonshine repeat climb of Piz Morteratsch. We reached the glacier just as the sun was rising. The previous day's snow had generally made the going easier (there were some sections of rock covered in ice before the glacier, tricky in the dark).
Fantastic views (of teams ascending the Biancograt), but also a cold wind greeted us at the top. We met many groups on our way down - the route was pretty crowded as it was a perfect week-end. |
