Started late and watched the sunset. Not fun descending in the dark. Went up to the south side from the meadow, which is mostly class 2. Went along the base of the summit block to the north side. A dusting of snow made it slippery, but it was easy.

Suprised this doesn't get climbed more- for a volcanic peak it was pretty fun. The approach hike along the wildflower laden PCT was also quite nice.
Didn't see the need for the hand traverse. Just climbed up to the left of the "crux" from your photo and walked over onto the ledge beyond it. Don't remember needing to do anything that required exposure on the summit block.

Steve and I climbed this in combination with Raymond Peak for an all day outing. A pretty fun class 3 summit block. Finding the route to the top took as long as it did to climb up from the meadow. Trip Report
