| I went down to SC to bag Table Rock Mountain and to see if I could nab Pinnacle Mountain while I was at it. It was all done as a day hike and I figured I had time to bag 'em both. Round trip was about twelve miles, and total elevation gain was, I think, around 4K feet (maybe closer to 3,600--but I'll have to get out maps and look). My only problem was that I ran out of water, so I was pretty dry by the time I got down. Drank up about two liters of water really fast.
If you're going, I'd suggest hitting Table Rock first, or at least going up the Table Rock Trail, hitting the Ridge Trail, and crossing over to Pinnacle. Going straight up the Pinnacle Mountain Trail is a toughie. Very straightforward and quite steep.
