Today our project was shut down early because of fear of the weather forecast and I thought it would be a good day to take half a day off work and climb Parkview Mountain on my way to take some pictures of a project. I climbed the NE Ridge of the mountain from near Willow Creek Pass and was near 11,000 feet at the mine and cirque before getting a phone call saying that I was needed in Granby. The weather was perfect. Frustrated and none too happy, I turned around and headed back down the mountain and back to work.

Climbed via the NE Ridge in bad weather. It was cold and snowy, but not dangerous because there was no lightning.

Nice solo winter climb while working in Kremmling. Stayed on the spurs to avoid any avalanche danger. Went up spur NE of summit and above mine and down the NE Ridge. |
