gatoWinter wonder  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Mar 8, 2008

Incredible winter day on Emigrant. No wind, gorgeous panoramas, and a good crew. Doesn't get much better.

b.Perfect Day  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Mar 8, 2008

We had a 6pm appt in Bozeman, so we left my house at 6, picked up Parks in Livingston, hit the trail at 7:30, summited by 2 and were back in town at about 5 that evening. The day was beautiful, the skiing was good, the company exceptional. A perfect day in the mountains.

gatoA little breezy....  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Sep 22, 2007

Nice hike on a threatening fall morning. We were up and down before the rains came through, after enjoying some breezy ridge hiking on the top. Beautiful views of the Absarokas, the Gallatins, and some Beartooth peaks as well.

b.Good climb for Bad weather  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Sep 22, 2007

The weather was looking bad for a trip to Mt. Cowen so we bagged this one. A little windy up high, but really nice morning.

Cool place, and a great mountain to climb mid-winter.

Date Climbed: Aug 16, 2006

After reaching numerous peaks in the Greater Yellowstone area there was always one peak that I could not only always see but seemed to dominate the landscape, Emigrant. Hiked with my new companion Yeti.

Stable and styrofoam winter conditions. I later got married within sight of Emigrant at Chico Hot Springs.

CBakwinRoute Climbed: SE Bowl Date Climbed: August, 2004  Sucess!

Good strenous hike, 3 hrs up, 1 1/2 down elevation gain is 4,000'

b.Route Climbed: West Rib Date Climbed: September 1995  Sucess!

This peak was part of a three week peak bagging adventure with many new (now old) friends while working in Yellowstone Park. The climb was memorable for many reasons, the premiere setting along the Yellowstone River's Paradise Valley, next to impressive Mt. Cowen and peering across the vast Beartooth Plateau was only one. The company was fantastic, a great way to end a perfect summer.

bakcastRoute Climbed: Northwest ridge Date Climbed: May Day 2004

Very nice day with nobody around. Someone looked to have summited earlier in the day than us and skiied down the southwest couloir. Climbed again in July 2006
