Moogie737East Fork Blacks Fork TH, #3 of a three-fer  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Jul 28, 2009

After hitting Wasatch and NW Wasatch (Wapiti), the grinding march to the long summit ridge seemed like a piece of forever. But it was worth it. The metal mail box at the summit looked like a relic from the 30s! This three-peak death march was orchestrated by ZeeJay, but it was satisfying and worthwhile. If you do this three-fer, plan on a minimum of 13 hours and at least one stream crossing requiring extra footwear. 'Nuff said.

Date Climbed: Jul 28, 2009

7/28/2009 21 mile day hike with Moogie737 from East Fork Blacks Fork. Also did Wasatch Benchmark and NW Wasatch.

6/6/2008 Skied almost to the summit with MOCKBA and Rob via the NNE ridge. Booted the last 600'. The wind was so strong that it blew me and Rob off balance several times. Beautiful views, but didn't feel like sticking around to enjoy them. Hopefully I'll be back sometime when it's not so windy.

Jeremy FranchowRoute Climbed: Eastern Ridge from East Fk. Blacks Fk.  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Sep 3, 2004

My first 13er! Had great fall temps. Snowing lightly at the summit. Major storm from the northwest visible from summit...blew in just as I got off the mountain. Beautiful, remote peak with great views!

ScottRoute Climbed: 3 routes: NW Ridge, NE Ridge, Bobs Lake Date Climbed: Three times, last was Sept 2000

Nice peak.

Before I was slow and fat, I did it in 2 days from East Fork Bear River Scout Camp while working there (twice). One trip was the route via Bobs Lake and one trip was via the NW ridge. Both were 42 miles round trip. This was at age 16 in 1990 and age 17 in 1991.

Last trip was September 2000 with snow and very cold conditions. Up the NE ridge route, down to Middle Fork Basin, and out the Middle Fork to the trail cutting to East Fork Blacks Fork.

I combined this summit with Wasatch's summit. Ran the ridge line had some interesting scrambles but nothing to difficult.
