| Did the route twice in the summer of 2005. Small peak but a nice little route. Attempted the Al-gal --> Vergine traverse but had to abseil out of the route twice due to bad weather. | |

| Did the entire La Vergine/Il Gallo traverse, rappeling the South Ridges. Car to car about 6 or 7 hours, if memory serves correctly. Glorious rock and views! One minor catastrophe - at that time I had long hair with long bangs. Got my bangs caught in the brake bar while looking down during the free hanging rappel off the summt. Had to grit my teeth and rip out the hair to continue. Looked really stupid for a while, too, with the big gap in the center of my bangs! | |
