| I did this hike at around 10 am. and it was 21 degrees. That's not including the windchill. There was snow on top and also a great view! | |

| Visited the folks in Douglasville during Thankgiving and couldn't resist the urge to knock out a quick high pointer, not to mention getting away from the chaotic family get together. I took my brother, out of shape, but he enjoyed the hike from the parking lot. We caught the sunset and gorgeous views over looking ranges all the way to the horizon. | |

| My Dad lived in Atlanta, GA. I was working in KY and drove down for his funeral. I climbed this on my drive back in his memory. I don't know if he had ever gone here or not, but this day he went to the top with me. | |

| Went up the easy way from the parking lot. Nice little trail. The weather wasn't bad either. Great view from the observation deck. Really one of the best views in GA. But I guess I should expect that with the parking fee and the enormous development of the summit area. Still, I guess I had to come here at least once, being an 18 year resident of GA. | |

| Got there after the tower was closed but we hiked up to the observation deck. Really great views and a nice Highpoint. Very pretty country around there. Almost hit a bear in the road leaving the place too. | |

| I opted to hike up and down from the summit. The views from the observation deck were spectacular, and the interpretive center (exhibits) had a lot of resourceful information. I would not mind visiting this HP again sometime in the future. This was my sixth and final State Highpoint reached during Memorial Day weekend, and State Highpoint #38 for me overall. | |

| We hiked up Jack's Knob trail - pretty tough "moderate" hike - felt like we'd earned it when we reached the top. Some cars and people up at the summit, but Jack's Knob trail was just us. Low clouds had the summit socked in. HP #15. | |

| I'm having terrible luck with highpoints. Another completely foggy view, but the hike up was great. The summit area was really well done, too. I just wish I could have seen further than 30 feet. | |

| Hit the summit w/ my wife and little girl. We had a blast! Very windy that day ... making it quite chilly ... but fun. Beautiful views to the North. We stopped by a nice winery on the way home in Young Harris (Crane Creek). | |

| Made the summit with my family. Very nice at the top. I asked a Ranger about the USGS marker and was shown where it was (hidden). After taking a picture of the marker and watching a short movie at the visitors center, made my way down. Very nice at the top. | |

| This one is my favorite HP in the South. I like the hike in Virginia more, but this place was just fun. The markers, the tower, the view--I liked it all. On a clear day, you can see the skyscrapers of Atlanta. | |

| I hiked with my dad along the Jack's Knob trail from Jack's Gap, meeting my wife, mother, and son at the parking lot. I carried my son the rest of the way to the summit in a backpack, with my wife and mother following. High winds and an approaching storm cut our time short on the summit, but the views were amazing. On the drive back, a turkey trying to "fly" across the road met its end against our bumper, making quite an impact. We were fortunate to leave the mountain when we did, as severe thunderstorms and tornados rolled through north Georgia the rest of the evening. HP9 | |
