splandswestRoute Climbed: Trail from Sunset Parking Lot; Scrambling up the east side of Crabeyes. Date Climbed: May 26, 2005; June18, 2005  Sucess!

I climbed Crabeyes with my son Ben, May26 & friend David Parker, June 18. We accessed the top by climbing up through a small needle-hole in the rocks on the NW side of the mtn. I am still quite impressed with the balancing act of these two huge boulders. The June 18 hike was quite hot/humid but the flowers were wild & wonderful. LWest/Yukon OK

splandswestRoute Climbed: From Rt49 to the North. Date Climbed: April 23, 2005

Didn't make it to Twin Rocks Mtn. Was a little confused as to which was actually the right peak. My son Zach and I did climb to the top of Crab Eyes. Great view, wonderful hike. The balanced rocks are awesome!!

cruzitRoute Climbed: South Face Date Climbed: January 21, 2005  Sucess!

Why is it every time I head out with my husband for an easy day of hiking I end up on some scary ascent???? Alan classed this as 4+, I say it probably goes at 5.2. There were a couple of places a rope would have made me feel a lot better. Barry met us on top after a speed climb. Lots of fun.

HendereRoute Climbed: up south face, down east face. Date Climbed: November 18, 2004  Sucess!

Lot of fun! I tried to go down the north side, but never could find a way. BTW, why do they call it Twin Rocks Mountain?

truchasRoute Climbed: East Face up/South Face down Date Climbed: July 17, 2004  Sucess!

The first peak of the day. A cold front came through but it was still pretty hot. Fun day with 3 summits and 3 more sub-peaks. The view from Twin Rocks is the best in the Charons Garden Wilderness.
