| What an enjoyable day! A hike up into the Maroon Bells-Snowmass wilderness with perfect weather and autumn foliage! Once we left the photographers down at the lakes, we didn’t see anyone for the rest of the morning except a group of climbers going up Point 12,942. The views from the top were great, Snowmass, Capitol, Pyramid, and of course the Bells. On the way down we started to see more and more people. From Crater Lake on down the trail was full of tourists. If we hadn’t had to be back down in Aspen by a certain time, we would have taken the loop route back to the trailhead. |
