| Foxy Long Bottoms | Buffalo Mtn to Sacred Buffalo ![]() Date Climbed: Oct 4, 2009 | |
| Snow on the ridge and the crux made it spicey enough to keep me on my toes. The ridge is neat. The blue paint arrows were annoying to see in the wilderness. | ||

| colinpence | great views of Dillon and Silverthorne ![]() Date Climbed: Sep 17, 2005 | |
| Since I climbed with Aaron Johnson, I can't improve on his descriptions, only agree with them. Fun scrambling, as you can see from the pictures he attached. | ||

| DharmaBum1984 | Full Moon Hike ![]() Date Climbed: Sep 15, 2008 | |
| Hiked from Buffalo Cabin. Unplanned last minute ascent, sketchy partners, off route most of the way, in the dark. Much easier after the moon came up. Spent a long, long time on the summit. Must ski the Silver next year. | ||

| farrisgl | Really nice Peak with a great view ![]() Date Climbed: Sep 14, 1994 | |
| I got within 500 vertical feet on a couple of occasions only to turn back due to the group or weather conditions. Finally summitted on a really clear day. Truely memorable. | ||

| Dan, Mike and I climbed the east slopes to the summit then skied the Silver Couloir. Perfect day, great people on the mountain, amazing skiing. Classic. | ||

| edlins | Lumpy Gravy ![]() Date Climbed: May 18, 2008 | |
| Snowshoed up std route, snowboarded down Silver Couloir from the summit. Condis not bad up top but got wetter and heavier all the way down. Huge debris field at bottom - pretty scary. Would have kicked butt in better snow. Tough uphill slog exit. 4:45 RT | ||

| Climbed this on a rest day. Not long but tiresome through the rock field. Good knees and ankles a must have for this hike. | ||

| Very nice hike! Fun scramble over to the Sacred Buffalo. Had seen this mountain so many times from the highway - it was finally nice to be on the summit. | ||

| joegrim | Short and steep ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 11, 2007 | |
| When I saw the length of this trail, I thought that it wouldn't be too hard despite the elevation gain; well it was a lot harder than I thought. I have done much longer hikes with a good eal more elevation gain, but nothing this steep for this long. It was the hardest 6 mile hike of my life! The weather was pretty good though, although it was cool (53) and breezy (32 mph) at the top. A great hike with awesome views! I never guessed that the Gore Range on the back side of the mountain was so impressive! | ||

| winterfae | Buffalo Mountain Trail ![]() Date Climbed: Jun 19, 2007 | |
| Snow almost gone, great trainer for the season. Almost did the scramble but opted not to because I started later in the day. Great views, loved the bouldering, as usual enjoyed the company of a trio of mountain goats at the top. | ||

| chicagotransplant | Buffalo-Sacred Buffalo ![]() Date Climbed: Jun 17, 2007 | |
| Still a little snow in the trees just before treeline, left the trail early and cut up some talus. This was actually cairned, I guess its the official unofficial offseason route! The scramble over to "Sacred Buffalo" is definitely the pay-off, the rest of the hike is pretty much just a talus walk. | ||

| lindasyh | On the old trail ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 17, 2003 | |
| This was supposed to be an "easy" day - a break from 14ers. A little harder than I expected but a good hike with a bit of cairn rebuilding at the top. | ||

| High temperatures quickly drained our energy. Five hours and seven miles later, we were whipped! But never fear, a lunch of huge juicy hamburgers, fries, and onion rings at the Dam Brewery in Silverthorne worked wonders. | ||

| Hiked this awesome hill with my friend from Alabama, Tim Allen in late Spring of 1999 on a simply gorgeous Summit County day. Great mountain with outstanding views. I could be mistaken, but I do not think the Buffalo Mountain Trail was finished when we attempted the ascent. Killer hike. | ||

| Iain | Route Climbed: Buffalo Cabin Trail Date Climbed: July 23, 2005 ![]() | |
| Went up the "old trail" and came down the new trail through the boulder field to the right of the old trail. Didn't make it over to scared buffalo this time. Going down was tougher than the hike up - but still a great hike. | ||
