Great mountain in a "remote" area with an impressive view. I had wondered about this peak for years and finally had the opportunity to climb it. The view can't be beat! Climbed with Ellen and MA, which was nice. MA and I have not climbed together for 5 years (family obligations) and it was as if we had not missed a beat! What a pleasure to have him along. A wonderful day on a wonderful mountain.

Quite the bushwhacking experience through Aspens on the lower part and tundra and willows up higher. Was a great test for my new GPS. Jura Knob will be memorable as well since I found a nice hiking pole which was sure handy to have for the descent!

We also saw a large herd of elk up high. They were successfu at eluding the hunters we saw down below who told us there weren't many elk in the area. Ha!
