| Winter ascent from Yale via Denny Creek with descent of s.e. ridge. It was a major league slip-n-slide descent down that steep ridge down to the AG trailhead. See TR. | |

| Avalanche Gulch Trailhead. We climbed Yale via the east ridge from the Colorado Trail. Then we headed south to Mascot Peak. We followed the E / SE ridge down to below treeline. We dropped off the north side of the ridge to follow the compass back to the Colorado Trail. | |

| 4/16/06 - Out & back trip from summit of Mount Yale. Rotten spring snow at its worst. Comical postholing to our chests was very common. I can't believe we even pulled it off since it was such slow going. 2/15/09 - Back for a winter ascent of Yale, much better snow conditions this time! Started at Denny Creek TH, up & over Yale to "Mascot", then down Mascot's SE ridge (which was very unpleasant) to the Avalanche Gulch TH where we had left a vehicle. | |

| Rather than an extra peak, this was my main goal and the Avalanche Gulch Route was quite nice up the E-SE Ridge. Came down the S-SE Ridge to complete a great loop hike. A little windy and cold, but a beautiful summit | |

| Mascot Peak is a great bonus. Summited after summiting Yale. This was a real leg burner. I was the fifth person to sign the summit log in 2006. I wonder how many Yale has seen this year? | |
