| Tried to get to the summit of Red Mountain today but had to turn around about 400 vertical feet from the top because of very high winds. I was crawling on my hands and knees when I got blown over by a large gust of wind. At that point I decided to turn back. Even though I did not make it the top I was still pleased with my accomplishment being that it has only been six weeks since I had surgery to reconstruct my ACL. Anyway another great day up in the mountains. | |

| This is a good mountain for locals who only have a day to get out. It has good access and is doable in all seasons, and is skied down in winter by some locals. Been up Big Red now around 6 times solo. | |
