| One of my local favorites. Did it several times from Pajarito Ski Area, Quemazon Trailhead and Guaje Ridge. Nice hike, great views from summit meadow. | |

| Probably the best hefty hike in the Los Alamos area, with great views en route and from the meadow near the summit. It was a great day with friends! We found the flattish summit marked by some rocks surrounding a tree with a plastic jar. We also found the county high point along the downed barbed wire fence. There was a tin can among some rocks next to a tree. | |

| I wanted a long trail hike/run and this one fit the bill for that (Guaje Canyon trail to Caballo Trail). The trail was easy to follow and the final climb up Caballo was more sustained than I expected. Great day in the mountains! | |

| Another local Los Alamos summit - our high school cross-country team used to do part of this route as a training run (up until Guaje Canyon). After that, the trail up Caballo is incredibly steep but the meadow on top makes for a great nap spot! | |
