| Was an easy climb along the north ridge from Polaris Pass. The ridge line is very narrow in places, but the goat trails generally offered good footing. There was one steep short stretch, but nothing really difficult. Snow lined the ridge from heavy storms a few weeks earlier, but it was largely gone now. The side side of the ridge offered some shelter and was actually warm in the sun, but the top and west side was smacked by an icy morning wind. I was too hot or too cold until the sun got up higher. The summit is very small and really just the meeting place of narrow ridges. There is no register.
I think I left my screw-on camera lenses on top of this peak. If anyone finds them and sent them to me, you'd be a hero and I might buy you dinner. |
