| This one reminded me a lot of my Mt Marcy Hike - constant snow but litle accumulation, windy , cold, lots of rime ice, and no views. This is a pretty long hike, but is a pretty neat little mountain, and well worth it. I would like to see it in the spring when the summit beargrass meadow is in bloom (and perhaps a view).
August, 2006 - I did the Eagle-Tanner loop this long day. Eagle Creek is beauriful, but a little crowded for my tastes. I would still do it again though. Saw a briliant sunset due to wildfire smoke returned to the trailhead in the dark and slept really really well when I got back to Portland. |
