Again, very out of shape, walked the bike to the top with Theron, then had the coolest descent on the bikes. This is the crash site of my brother, where he managed to mangle his brand new Rocky Mountain.

Vic Hanson3 Ts and Mt. Baldy  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Oct 14, 2002

Started at the Middle Fork of Lytle Creek and came up to Icehouse Saddle, hit the 3 Ts on the way to Mt. Baldy. This was my 2nd attempt at this route, the 1st time in December we camped on Telegraph and went back due to ice and snow, and no Ice axe or crampons.

David RosenbergSki Lift Peak  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Sep 10, 2006
I had this as an orphan peak because it looked so unappealing. Finally knocked it off as a 3T exercise. 3.5 hours from Icehouse.

benjamingray3 Ts  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Feb 17, 2007

Did this as part of the 3 Ts, although Thunder didn't seem like much of a peak to me. Nice day out, no crampons required. Did a traverse from Icehouse Canyon to Baldy Notch. Hiked down to the parking lot and hitched a ride from another SP member back to the truck.

bechttBaldy + 3Ts  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Nov 18, 2006

Perfect day in late November. Did Baldy via Bear Canyon before the 3Ts. Seemed like the toughest part of the hike was the long walk from the Icehouse trailhead back to the village via the highway.

This is a good hike when you only have a few hours, but still want to get some exercise.

Date Climbed: Sep 16, 2006

Walked the road up for my tenth trip to this fun summit of mine. Had some beers and watched the higher peaks of range. Some find this mountain ugly, but it is a great quick hike or longer mountain bike ride for the area. One of the few good high peaks you can actually bike to in southern california.

jazamooManker to Baldy to 3 Ts  Sucess!
Date Climbed: May 27, 2006

I was disappointed by this peak! Someone en route to Baldy mentioned that "Thunder kicked my butt!" so I had high expectations for a difficult climb up, and was extremely disappointed by the sight at the top (ski lift. oh weee), and zero view (surrounded by cloud and fog) and relatively easy hike up... I think my source probably came by way of Icehouse Saddle, instead of Baldy Saddle.

TacoDelRioRoute Climbed: Via Baldy Notch Date Climbed: January 29th 2006  Sucess!

Easy climb. Lots of ice from the snow melting and re-freezing. Had to use knife as a field-expedient ice axe. Tried to take Telegraph, but couldn't grip the ice, fell a few times. Went back to peak of Thunder Mountain, slipped and fell, sliding down the side of Thunder mountain on my ass with a 50lb rucksack for 1/4 mile, resulting in a bruised tailbone, several bruised muscles, and lots of lacerations. No fun. Will try to take the 6 eastern peaks again after I acquire crampons and an ice axe, or the ice and snow melts, whatever happens first.

Mountain ImpulseRoute Climbed: Via Baldy Notch Date Climbed: July 16, 2005  Sucess!

From the ski parking lot, hiked underneath the lift to the Notch and then to Thunder. Then we continued on to do Telegraph and Timber and back down Ice House Canyon. I've also done Thunder as one of the 3 summits done during the Baldy Peaks 50K.
