| Lead by a Forestry Service friend on a cross-country day hike to the Beartooth Plateau. Approached from the Southwest, ate lunch on the shoulder of Lonesome Mountain, hoofed it over to Spirit Mountain for the view of Beartooth Peak... BEAUTIFUL.
Hands down, the best single day of hiking I did all season while being employed in Yellowstone. A far cry from the crowded summits of YNP. I am grateful for the experience. |
