| Great hike! Took a few detours in the beginning but eventually ran into the trail. I had my dog Charlie, aka Mountain Pug, with me. He made it all the way to the top by himself except for a few parts I had to lift him up. He took a long nap on the top and had to ride in the backpack for the way down. Great Day! | |

| Very cool peak. Saw another group of 3 people and a dog. Very fun and I loved the basin before the summit. It was pretty chilly with a strong wind, but very awesome! | |

| First time we went up a hairy ridge, down a ravine on SE -- very brushy. On Feb 23/08, went up the remote north peak -- last register entry was from over 3 years ago. I was perhaps the 8th person to sign in. | |

| I climbed on Spirit Mountain in August 2005. The temperature was about 110 degree, and it was one of the best mountain experience in my life (especially , that I come from cold country - Poland:) ) | |

| I hustled up from Christmas Tree Pass Road, but in advertantly headed up to the right way too soon. I encountered much scrambling and some fourth class terrain. I stumbled on the trail after gaining approximately 1500 feet and cruised the rest of the way to the panoramic summit. Great area to hike and explore. 2:45 car to car | |

| Lots of great scenery. Started by taking the wrong route. Had to turn around due to weather (Thunderstorms were in the distance). My friend was also havign knee and hip problems. We barely made it back to the vehicle by sunset. If I would have summited alone, we would have been hiking in the dark down the mountain. I'll try again sometime. | |

| Very enjoyable hike amongst some beautiful granite formations. I have done it twice and both times it was very windy. Maybe someday I'll get to do it on a calm day. Our photos are here: Spirit Peak hike | |

| I don't understand why some hikers don't like this peak. Great scenery, remote, and an easy to follow path makes this one of the better desert peaks. | ||

| Awesome! In terms of scenery, tranquility and the unlimited scrambling, exploratory options, this is one of the finest desert peaks I've ever done. -10/10/09: Did it again with DB, Dimples and Lori C. From the top of Spirit, I traversed over to Devils Thumb (5,189). Our group met up again in the canyon west of Spirit-Devils Thumb that afternoon. After a nice break, we walked the last couple miles south to the trailhead. | |
