| West Pintler has the distinction of being a 'triple-divide.' The peak sheds water west into the Bitterroot, east into the Big Hole and north into the Rock Creek drainages! My summit bid began on the east fork of the Bitterroot. Beautiful hike through a mostly burned landscape. (Date climbed is approx.) | |

| nice solo with the dog for a few days. Was greeted with the first snow of the season. I did the west face, scrambling from Hidden lake and descended the south ridge back to the lake. Nasty talus! | |
