| Took the SE ridge from the Mascot Mine Road. More cross-country travel than the route described, but also gains the radio tower. We traversed through icy fog to the main gully between the peaks. A small, awkward chockstone is the main obstacle. From the saddle between them, a fun steep climb to the South Cabeza, and the clouds cleared. Scrambled back down, then went up the North Cabeza. Very solid rock - if you take your time, the routes become obvious. Clearly not well-travelled peaks. |
