Lips74True Excitement!  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Jun 3, 2009

This is about as thrilling as it gets! A towering pinnacle rising out of the trees. Seriously though, about as boring a summit as I have seen. The views from Zealand Cliffs at sunset were pretty inspiring though.

Zealand Mountain is in the trees, BUT Zeacliff is great, the falls are nice, and I even liked the easy Zealand trail, so Zealand Mountain should be payed a visit.

Tagged in the morning after Guyot and before South Twin. Neat summit sign but no views. Not that great of a summit but I guess it ticks off another 4000er.

Climbed with Bondcliff via the Twinway Trail from Galehead. Does have a really remote wilderness feeling to it. Not much in the way of views though. At least we have Guyot to make up for it.

Wow, what a summit. It's summits like these that remind me what a list-dork I am. But I'm a happy list-dork, so what the hey! Part of a long dayhike that included Galehead. One or two red maples had turned color down by the ponds.

This was probably the least impressive peak of my day, but it was fun just the same. The weather was gorgeous, the skies were crystal clear, and the temperature was very moderate for this time of year. Once we summited we were immediately the center of a gray jay's attention, who was after our snacks. Very well behaved bird, but definately had a bottomless stomach. Loved to fly down and eat right out of your hand. He made the peak fun.

I peaked this mountain on the way out to the Bonds. Stayed overnight at the Guyot Campsite. Beautiful views of the Pemigewasset wilderness from Mt. Guyot. I never made it to the Bonds though.

Day 2 of Franconia to Pinkham. Clouds Wind Rain No views. Crossing the stream above Zealand Falls was scary. It was rain swollen and raging.

The summit was just an incidental bonus on my way to bag Mount Guyot, but the views from the top of Zeacliff were outstanding.
