| Thought about doing this peak on our 2004 JMT trek but once reaching the pass we still planned to reach Tuolumne Meadows from our day at Thousand Island Lake (20 Mile day)so we passed. This year we shortened the day to allow us to climb the peak. Sure glad we did. Really great view. | |

| This peak was intended as a warmup and overview for the days to come during a 9-day backpack trip in Ansel Adams. I made my way to Donohue Pass from Rush Creek and ascended the SW ridge, hanging with some marmots along the way. I decided to take a more direct route down the S face in some chutes that were interesting and sometimes hairy class3-4. | |

| The 3rd peak of the day after climbing up the Lyell glacier to Mt. Lyell, traversing the saddle to Mt. Maclure and then down and over to the pass. Eventually wandered off of Donohue Peak and down Kuna creek back to camp along the T. River. | |
