Date Climbed: Sep 20, 2009

This was my second attempt this year - too much snow in April. Did the hike up and down from the "M" trailhead in 4:45; I find it very funny that the summit log is not on the summit, and is on a point that is obviously lower than any other points along the ridge.

I made it about 50 feet from the top then turned back. I wished I wasn't hiking alone that day - then I am sure the hike would have been much more enjoyable. Still a good view, and nice challenge.

Fun hike. Started late in the afternoon. Rode bike to M Trailhead and headed up. Got back just as dark was falling.

vcrewpc06M Trailhead to Bridger Ridge  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Apr 29, 2007

Climbed on a muggy spring day with weather forming over Gallatin Valley all day long. Still lots of snow on the east side of the ridge. After summiting, reached the treeline just as the first thunder started to roll in. Fortunately the bulk of the storm moved north and we only got a little rain. Great day.

See photos I posted contrasting true summit with false summit. I had turned around at false summit the year before thinking I was already on the true summit.

bnschwerinBaldy Loop  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Feb 25, 2006

From "M" trailhead took Bridger Foothills trail to junction with Sypes canyon and then up to the top from there. Came down the main ridge trail creating a loop with very little backtracking, want to try doing it the other direction. Snowshoes were needed as several feet of unconsolidated snow covered the trails.

Set out in the mid afternoon intending to run to the M. Couldn't stop and ended up following the ridge trail all the way up onto Baldy.

gatoRoute Climbed: Ridge from the north Date Climbed: August 2002, '03, '04  Sucess!

This is the last uphill climb on the Ridge Run, followed by 5 miles of knee-pounding, high speed descent. Baldy gives excellent views of the valley and surrounding ranges.

I didn't reach the summit of Baldy, started way to late (12:00). Plus my dad was having trouble with his legs. I will try to summit and bring back more information after Spring Break.
