| Climbed this one with MOCKBA and Max after doing the Cathedral via the Right Hand Fork. Most of the way we were on the trail or hiking across meadows. At the base of the pass we picked up the trail again but lost it about half way up. The steep, loose, off-trail part was tough for me with a full backpack. We got to the pass, hiked part way up the ridge, started contouring at about the 11800' level, bypassed some cliffs, and then headed up. Beautiful views of blue-green Priord Lake. After climbing this one, we went to South Yard and then camped on the other side of the pass. The next day we headed out over Rocky Sea Pass on the Highline Trail. Beautiful day and nice hike. | |

| I was able to stay on the old trail to the saddle most of the way, which definitely made that part of the ascent faster. Stayed close to the east ridge, continuing to the summit, with some class 4 scrambling along the way. Took the easier, recommended route(more to the south) on the descent. Remote, rugged peak. Feels like you're one of only a handful to ever stand on the summit, even if that might not necessarily be true. | |

| I used to work at the East Fork Bear River Scout Camp near the Priord Lake Trailhead. Since the scouts were there during the week, I, or if I was lucky, a parter too, would hitch a ride to the Highline Trail, and since it was on the way back to Salt Lake City, it was easy to catch a ride. Myself or partners would then hike over Rocky Sea Pass, often camping at Lightning Lake, over Priord/Ostler Pass, down to Priord Lake and back to the trailhead climbing some of the peaks along the way. Most of the time when peaks were summitted, I did the trips alone. All trips were two days, but I was in really good shape back then. | |
