gkaufmanBrutally steep  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Mar 28, 2009

After finishing Old Rag in the morning I climbed Robertson Mountain for the first time. It was definitely a steep climb and the miles and elevation gain already under my belt for the day made it that much harder. Summit was socked in with fog so I got to see nothing. Oh well, I shall return.

The way I felt at the end of the day reminded me a little of my 14er climbs in Colorado.

eruselowAll by myself  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Apr 27, 2008

Climbed the East ridge of Robertson Mountain after finishing Old Rag. Steep trail, but the solitude and the views from the top are absolutely worth it.

tiogaFun Climb  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Oct 8, 2007

Thanks to Buz for maintaining the trail. It is a fun, steep climb to the top with some very rewarding views. I had the summit all to myself as well. Some fun rocks to jump around on as well on the top.

Buz GroshongSecond time this year  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Feb 4, 2007

I climbed it 12 time last year and twice so far this year. Why so many? I volunteered to maintain the trail.

I've climbed this mountain at least three times, with the most recent trip being Thanksgiving day 2001.

It's a great alternative to the busy Old Rag hike. Last time we traversed the mountain from east to west, returning to the Old Rag parking lot along the Old Rag fire road which offers one of the best views of Old Rag mountain I have seen.
