| A sweet hike to a functioning lookout. We (Eric and I) met the lookout and he gave us a tour of his new home, having just moved in the day before. This lookout fellow had been the lookout on Oregon Butte the previous year. Not much of a view today since the weather was cloudy and cold but the fact that this peak is one of the bigger ones in this section of E. Washington made it a nice target. | |

| I did this one for the second time today with Dean. Thankfully it was much cooler today than the last time I was here. Most of this trail is through very pleasant forest and the trail is in excellent shape. I think this is my favorite hike (so far) out of the admittedly somewhat limited peaks I've done in what I think of as Eastern WA (east of the Okanogan->Columbia Rivers). | |
