| A fine day with Rick Kent and Richard Piotrowski. Nothing tricky on this route and the views north with the previous day's snowfall were great. Headed over and bagged Mt. Jenkins before descending back to the cars. | |

| Desert Solitaire | Route Climbed: Eternal Vigilance, 5.9; East Ridge Date Climbed: November 26, 2005 | |
| Started out from Indian Wells Canyon to attempt Eternal Vigilance, 5.9 from Greg Vernon's Domelands book, but backed off after the first pitch. We brought too much gear and quickly realized that the subsequent pitches would be immensely difficult hauling two full packs. Our excuse - it was damn cold and windy all day! We scrambled up to the fun class 3/4 ridge and topped out in a few hours in near whiteout conditions at the summit. Plus, throw in petroglyph sightings and it was a great day! | |

| Beautiful fall day on the PCT. Started out at Walker Pass and conveniently stumbled along Morris and Jenkins on the way. Glenn G and I cleaned up some metal poles (PCT trail markers) we found halfway up the mountain and carried them all the way to the saddle SW of the peak where the PCT meets. Trail maintainance, or hikers in search of a challenge should carry these out next time. : - ] | |

| The first time was an afternoon hike up Indian Wells Canyon, after climbing Pilot Knob (S) in the morning. The second time was as Bob mentioned below, a Morris/Jenkins/Owens excursion out of Walker Pass. Pleasant hikes. | |
