We really wanted to be skiing. But not enough snow. And although we had snowshoes, we didn't want to use them. So we postholed the last 15 minutes or so.
The hike itself isn't anything special, but the views are great. Would probably be more scenic on the way up if done earlier in the year when the wildflowers are blooming. Cool vantage point to take in the Sawtooths, White Clouds, and Boulders.
A Great Perch to View the Sawtooths and White Clouds Date Climbed: Jun 6, 1999
This was the first peak I ever climbed in Idaho. I also got engaged on the summit in 2000. Climbed it twice in 2004 & 2005. I've camped on top twice. A small two-person tent can fit next to the fire lookout. One of my favorites for the views and history I have with it.
