| Oh man, the trip down from Tigger was a real bastard. As we reached the summit, a big rock tilted up and banged into my shin. I should have known that was a sign. Instead of taking the trail to the end of the Mt Princeton Road, we went straight down the east face of Tigger into the drainage that becomes Merriam Creek. That was a mistake, for the rock was very loose and footing was very difficult. It took nearly 2 hours just to get back to the road, where the others in out group had been waiting for quite a while. That's what I get for taking a "short cut". |
