| We traversed the loose boulder ridge from Cumulus to Nimbus. We were going to head down the west ridge to Red Mountain, but as usual everything was loose rock. We decided to decend an awful talis slope on the north side of the ridge were everything including table size boulders were loose. We found a faint trail on the south side of Opposition Creek and bushwhacked our way down to the trail on the north side of the creek. It was slow trip because of the loose rocks and took us 12 1/2 hours to climb Cumulus and Nimbus from the car. | |

| Real nice snow hike and climb. I'll get back to this range next May, when all that chip rock is covered in 5 feet of consolodated snowpack. Access is really good for this hike in May. Good views up there. | |

| Lots of snow for a late June climb! Ascent took us 7 hours with all the slips, trips, and difficulty of the terrain. Descent took only 3 hours as we slid most of the way back to treeline. Awesome Mt. - just wish the skies were more clear, but what do you expect for a Mt. named after a cloud! We found the summit register and noticed we were the first group of 2005 to reach it. Please bring a notecard or paper to re-stock the "real summit register" because no room was left. | ||
