| No snow below 9K, little above that. Went fairly deep into the cave, very cool. Did a bit of bushwhacking at the top since there aren't anything other than cow trails. Nice open meadows and great views of Mosca and Guadalupe. Overall a nice easy hike with great weather. | |

| Date something of a guess. My wife and I went by the cave, starting out from 4th of July. We found a mountain lion skull en route. The top was a beautiful place for lunch -- except there was a cow flop about every 3 feet. | |

| This was one of the hardest climbs I had this summer. It's the only one that left my legs sore the next day. | |
