| Done on the first day of the GMS Mountaineering week. Very nice group of people, nice day until reaching the saddle, from which point on the wind was cold and strong--too cold to stay long on the summit. Nice mountain, with terrific views of Wilbur and Gould and Kinnerly and Iceberg, and the entire host of GNP companion peaks! Nicenicenice!
Coming down we cut through the Swiftcurrent Glacier Basin, and in crossing the glacier I had to self-arrest with my ice axe. Definitely woke me up! Great day all around! |
