| Parked at treeline just as the road narrows, about one mile short of Light Peak. Hiked over Light Peak on way to Drake Peak then reversed the route back to car. Clear skies, calm air, excellent views. Joined by my canine, Rudi. | |

| My wife and I drove to within a half mile of the summit of this one and made camp in a lovely spot that is on the opposite side of the lookout peak. I then walked to the top of Light peak from our campsite on my way to do Drake peak. One oddity was that there is a benchmark on top of Light Peak that is stamped "Drake". Made me wonder if Light Peak was originally named Drake at one time. ?? | |

| Dorve right over the top of Light Peak and down the east ridge in order to climb the west ridge of Drake Peak from the saddle. It's a steep descent in a vehicle, and one may come close to regretting the descent when the ascent becomes necessary. I did make it back to the top in 4WD high-range, so I still had low-range in reserve. | |

| Parked on summit of Light Peak to traverse to summit of Twelvemile Peak. Then ascended north ridge from Twelvemile to get back to car. Never saw a soul all day. Gotta love eastern Oregon. | |
