up to Goodwin Lake. Alan, Scout, and I bushwacked the east slope and cut the standard ridge trail. We summitted separatedly because we didn't feel comfortable taking scout across the talus. Very easy day hike.

Perfect weather and a great view. Never did find the trail up the east slope, but it was still a fun day with Jackie and Scout.

Climbed this peak with some buds from work, I think it was 1993, or 94. It was a great place to get away, so close to town.

Lots of snow still and lots of 4th of July skiers as well. The wildflowers on the way up were spectacular as you looked across them towards the Tetons. I've done quite a few hikes in the area and this one is not to be missed.

Went with the intention of climbing from the north but wound up skirting to the east and heading up the east slopes. A buddy from work and I hit the ridge and enjoyed some spectacular views but wound up stopping a few hundred vertical feet shy of the summit since we were not crampon or ice axe equipped.

First ever hike in Wyoming and it was a blast. Enjoyed a dip in the frigid waters of Goodwin Lake on the way out.

Date Climbed: Jun 30, 2008

Climbed up via Curtis Canyon to Goodwin Lake. Snow covered the entire area before hitting the lake all the way until the peak, even on June 30th. The lake was still frozen over except for a few spots around the banks. I climbed my way up, glissaded my way back down and then took a dip in the ICE water of the lake all before the afternoon storms hit :) Great way to start the day!

A nice climb in nearly complete snow cover from the trail head. Cool cornices at the top and a nice view of the Tetons and the rest of the Gros Ventre Range.

I have hiked up to the town of Jackson's own peak on many occasions. You can drive close to the peak, so it can be a rather quick hike. I even went after work a couple of times. The view of the Tetons is incredible. The ski cabin is a great place. There is even some good rock climbing above Goodwin Lake.

My very first real, with an overnight, peak. I did this with my Dad and felt so grown up. I was 7 years old. Glorious!
