Date Climbed: Aug 2, 2009

Started at the bottom of Vail Pass, Copper side, and hiked up the Gore Range Trail to Uneva Pass, summited "Sneva" to the east of the pass and then up the south ridge of Uneva. Longer way to climb this peak, but scenic hike with some nice wildflower meadows and tarns along the way, plus an extra peak.

I went with a group who were primarily interested in seeing wild flowers. I had once tried to be proficient in their identities so this was all very helpful. Wonderful views from the top of the Gore Range.

Date Climbed: Sep 6, 2008

Climbed with the Usual Suspects on a brisk, windy early fall day with the Usual Suspects. Thoroughly enjoyed the mountain! Awesome views! Followed Nader's route to cirque, crossed cirque on climber's trail to west ridge and followed it to the summit. Descended over point south of summit to burn area and then dropped due west to rejoin logging road and trail back to start. Highly recommended!

Date Climbed: Sep 11, 2006

Climbed Uneva after work, started around 6pm and managed to summit just as the sun was setting. What an incredible sunset and alpenglow! Of course we came down in the dark, but that's what headlamps are for, right?

JonBradfordRoute Climbed: Loop from Vail Pass down to Wheeler Flats Date Climbed: August 2004  Sucess!

A pretty mountain. The day I climbed it most mountain in all directions where socked in. Ended up running from a thunderstorm at the end of the day. It is much more enjoyable to hike from Wheeler Flats...

A nice fun day, more of a scouting trip for the winter. Excellent views of the Gores which are looking pretty filled in.

Uneva make for a good early spring hike. It also makes for a good look-out spot for the Gore Range proper to check out early season "conditions." Lot's of backcountry skiing up there because of access.
